The Bricks That Built My Blog
I am not a web developer.
I may have a computer science degree; I may have taken a course or two in web development; I may have some experience with various frameworks. Despite all that, I would not consider myself a web developer. Regardless, I wanted to make a dumping ground for all of the things I'd already often come to write up multiple times to different friends in Discord, so this site was born. This post is a list of as many of the resources as I can remember using in the creation of this site--even if just to give proper attribution somewhere. This post is likely to change in the future, or be deleted if I rework my entire site somewhere down the line.
Much of my time building this site was spent trawling the Eleventy docs pages to understand and modify the Eleventy Base Blog example project for my own needs. I had originally planned to write the site on Eleventy from scratch, but modifying the base blog quickly proved to be a much better, easier, and quicker option.
Much of my site's color choices are based on the Apple Human Interface Guidelines on Color. I despise Apple as a company to my core for many reasons, but their UI design is not one of them, and it's easier for me to design something visually when color choice is already partly handled.
My site makes use of Froyo Tam's Ferrite Core font, which I've had kicking around somewhere on nearly every computer I've used for the last 3 years because I love it so much. The background of the site is a slapdash
